The Punch Brothers, who are apparently going through a sport coat phase.

The Green River Festival returns to Western Massachusetts July 10-12 this year. Early bird tickets are now on sale through April 17 -- they're $79.99 for all three days, single days are $19.99 (Friday) and $59.99 (Saturday and Sunday).

The lineup is also now out -- headliners include Steve Earle & The Dukes, Punch Brothers, tUnE-yArDs, Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The full lineup, which includes a bunch of acts you'll recognize, is post jump.

And in something a little bit different for an event like this, the festival also includes hot air balloon launches Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

The festival is in Greenfield, about a two-hour drive from Albany.

Saratoga Jazz Festival 2015 lineup includes Erykah Badu

Erykah Badu

The Freihofer's Saratoga Jazz Festival returns to SPAC June 27-28. And this year's line-up includes Erykah Badu, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Cassandra Wilson, Sheila E., Al Di Meola Electric Band, and Snarky Puppy. The full announced lineup is after the jump.

Tickets for the general public go on sale on March 24 -- day tickets are $60 and up.

Solid Sound 2015 lineup

solid sound 2015 posterThe lineup for the Solid Sound Festival this summer at MASS MoCA is now out.

It's headlined by Wilco -- because, you know, it's Wilco's festival. The band will be playing two shows, one each on Friday and Saturday of the festival. A few others from the lineup: Mac Demarco, Parquet Courts, Real Estate, Shabazz Palaces, Cibo Matto, and John Hodgman.

This year's festival is June 26-28. The ticket currently on sale is the advance 3-day pass -- it's $149 plus service fees. (The festival is also taking reservations for camping.)

Mountain Jam 2015 lineup

The Black Keys

The annual Mountain Jam music festival at Hunter Mountain announced the lineup the 2015 festival today. Headliners include: The Black Keys, Gov't Mule, moe (all three already announced), Robert Plant, Alabama Shakes, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Michael Franti and Spearhead.

The full lineup (announced so far) is post jump.

Mountain Jam is June 4-7 this year. Early bird tickets are currently on sale: a 3-day pass (without camping) is $185 / a 4-day pass is $205.

As you know, Hunter Mountain is in Hunter, New York, in the northern Catskills. It's a little more than an hour drive from Albany.

Black Keys at Mountain Jam
The Black Keys will be the headliner for the Mountain Jam festival at Hunter Mountain June 4-7. The duo is set to play the Saturday of the festival. Other headliners announced: Gov't Mule and moe. Tickets for the festival are currently $185 for a 3-day pass and $239 for a 4-day pass.

They Might Be Giants at UCH
They Might Be Giants return to the area to play Upstate Concert Hall April 22. Tickets are $20 ahead / $23 day of and they're on sale now.

Avett Brothers at Brewery Ommegang
The first announced show of the outdoor summer season at Brewery Ommegang: The Avett Brothers on June 13, with John Prine. Tickets are $55 and on sale December 19.
