The Frankencake at Cheesecake Machismo
Why settle for one flavor of cheesecake when you could have six? Or more!
If you're headed to a holiday party this season and don't know what to bring, here's the perfect idea: A Frankencake from Cheesecake Machismo.
Basically, a Frankencake is built from 12 separate slices of cheesecake in various flavors, depending on what the store has in stock that day. Holiday flavors right now include apple cider, pumpkin, and my personal new fave, eggnog. (What can I say? I love the stuff! )
These 10" collages of cake are $35, and those slices are pretty big so you might even be able to get more than 12 servings out of it. They're available for walk-in purchase only though, so your flavor choices will vary.
And if you can't make it to CM this season, check 'em out in February when they'll be moving down the street to the former Mezzo spot.

I absolutely love Cheesecake Machismo. They have the best cheesecake. I've brought the Frankencake for party gifts before and it's always a huge hit.

I love, love, LOVE Cheesecake Machismo. Last time we were there someone was getting one of these mixed cakes. I thought it was a special "thing" Lynn and her partner were doing for someone they knew. Great to know it's a regular option.

In the early 70's my then-to-be husband and I saw an animated cartoon put out by the Canadian Film Board called "Frankencake." It was about a monster cake, big as a house, stomping through a town, terrorizing the citizens. Then, befriended by a little girl who wasn't afraid of it, it changed its ways and became a kind and decent cake. Funniest animated film I ever saw. For nostalgia's sake, I just ran an internet search to find some reference to the film, without success. Instead, I found Cheesecake Machismo's Frankencake. Glad to see my hero survives as this delightful dessert creation. He did good!! Would love to visit the shop but I live on the wrong coast.

Since this has been bumped, let me just say that I was lucky enough to score a Frankencake the day before Christmas Eve (cleaned them out, too), and it was fan-freakin-tastic. It always makes me a rock star at holiday gatherings.
