Emack II
Kristi reports that a new Emack and Bolio's is opening later this month in Guilderland. Earlier on AOA: the opening of the Delaware Ave Emack prompted us to measure scoop sizes around town.

But will the ice cream taste as good in the painfully generic, sterile environment of the Guilderland strip mall?

With the Moe's, Chinese Buffet, wing place, and now ice cream parlor in the strip, I can't decide if the Weight Watchers in the mall is genius or the worst idea ever.
What I do know is that when you're picking up a burrito and a guy kindly holds the door open for you at Weight Watchers as you pass by, it makes everyone feel awkward.

Fred, to you, probably not.

this place is really cheerful and fun and has all the whimsical signage/wall art/blah blah like another cheerful and fun ice cream brand with two men's names, but the ice cream...really overpriced and..meh. Doesn't quite meet the flavor expectation I had being (over) visually stimulated by the shop.

There is nothing sterile about the Guilderland strip mall. Maybe you were speaking in comparatives.
But still. Not sterile.
