Listen to Eyelid Movies
NPR has posted the entirety of Phantogram's soon-to-be released album Eyelid Movies for streaming all this week. And check out the comments by Bob Boilen:
Hundreds of bands played the music showcase known as CMJ in New York City last fall, but someone told me that I absolutely had to see Phantogram. I went, I saw, I loved.
Phantogram is a Saratoga Springs, N.Y., duo: Sarah Barthel plays keyboards and sings, while Josh Carter plays guitar. These folks have been friends since junior high -- about a dozen years ago -- and the chemistry is undeniable. Plenty of percussive beats and sonic textures pervade the music, so it's hard to tell who's doing what, but that's just fine.
Eyelid Movies will be released in the US on February 9. It's already available for pre-order from Amazon and the iTunes Store.
Oh, yeah: As we mentioned earlier this morning, we're giving away two tickets to the Phantogram show at Northern Lights this Friday. Serendipity. (We've held off re-naming the site All Over Phantogram today.)

I caught two of their CMJ performances. Seriously great shows, and the crowd at the Music Hall of Williamsburg show seemed to be really pleasantly surprised, given that they showed up for The xx and School of Seven Bells.
Also, all the visuals they're raving about happen to be courtesy of WRPI's current music director Blair Neal. He's just finishing up his MFA in Electronic Arts. We're pretty damn proud of him.

You can catch all of the NPR First Listens from the EXT home page, too. ;-) Love this new feature!
Keep on rockin', AOA! We love ya!

Yup, works in FF 3.5 for me too.
The album sounds pretty great, I had seen them 3 or 4 times before the release and the Big Tour, and they added lots of nice touches and backup vocals. It's going to be a sweet show.
