The Other Guys trailer

Check it out: the trailer for The Other Guys, one of the films that shot in downtown Albany last year, is now online:

You can see bits of Albany here and there -- if you look closely and don't blink. A few examples (with matching spectator video) are after the jump.

Here's another stunt that was shot in Albany:

And, hey, look, it's Broadway:

It looks like a lot of the footage from Albany was used for green screening with the stars. The Rock and Samuel L. Jackson show up in some shots with Albany scenery, but apparently they were never here to film.

The Other Guys is scheduled for release in theaters on August 6.

(Thanks, Justin!)

Earlier on AOA:
+ A handful of items about The Other Guys
+ More Angelina and more Albany
+ That's Angelina and that's Albany

screen grabs: Columbia Pictures

How thoughtful of the studios to make use of extensive CG and special effects to ensure their precious, delicate actors never have to actually step foot in dreary, desolate Albany.

Very nice redesigns. I hope that area becomes more of a neighborhood rather than what it currently is - still an expressway that happens to have hotels and apartments along it. I'd love to see wide sidewalks and protected bike lanes from Crossgates all the way to Manning.
