Capital Pride
Saturday: The annual Capital Pride Parade and Festival is in and around Albany's Washington Park. The parade starts at noon in Washington Park at Robin an State, and then heads down State, turns right at Lark, and then right at Madison and back into the park. The festival is in the park immediately following the parade. Saturday at noon - free admission

SaratogaArtsFest Centennial Celebration
Friday-Sunday: Saratoga Springs celebrates its centennial with a weekend arts festival. A wide variety of events including galley shows, receptions, concerts and family events in venues all around the Spa City. Here's the schedule. Friday-Sunday various times and venues

Capital District Renaissance Festival
Saturday/Sunday: Indian Ladder Farms hosts the Capital District Renaissance Festival . The two-day event will feature more than 30 craft and food vendors, and more than a dozen acts on five stages. Performances include swordplay, Shakespearean acting, musical acts, kids programming, and two royal jousts each day. Saturday and Sunday 11 am-6 pm - $12 for adults / $5 for kids day of (and free for kids 2 and under).

Juneteenth Celebration
Sunday: Albany celebrates Juneteenth a little early this year with a Juneteenth Festival in Washington Park. Free food, beverages, and entertainment. Sunday 1-6 pm - free admission

#captureALB
Friday: This year's downtown Albany art/place exhibition -- it's called #captureALB and will include 10 large picture frames set up around downtown -- debuts. (It's the series that had previously been called Sculpture in the Streets.) Friday evening there's an outdoor party in Federal Plaza Park to celebrate the new exhibit. Friday 5:30 pm - $60 / $40 age 30 and under

Halfmoon Carnival
Friday-Sunday: Relay for Life is hosting a fundraising carnival at the Halfmoon Town Hall. Rides, fair food, a midway and more. Friday 6pm to 10pm, Saturday 1pm to 10pm, Sunday 1pm to 8pm - free admission / rides are by ticket or you can buy an all-admission wristband for $15

Food/drink

Nine Pin can release and pig roast
Saturday: Nine Pin Cider Works is hosting a pig roast and a party to celebrate their can release. Pig roast and food from Yanni's Too. Canning demonstrations. Saturday 4pm to 10pm -- Free admission. Meals $20, cider for purchase.

Pink & Brew
Friday: Proctors is hosting its annual Pink & Brew festival with samples of 75 craft beers, hand-rolled cigars, blues music, a fitness challenge and food trucks. Friday 5:30 pm - $30

Saratoga Brewfest
Saturday: The Saratoga Brewfest returns to the Saratoga County Fairgrounds in Ballston Spa. More than 200 beers will be available to sample from 75 breweries. Saturday from 1pm to 5pm -- $45 advance, $55 at the door / VIP tickets are $60 and $65 at the door

Lebanese Authentic Food Festival
Saturday: St Ann Maronite Church in Watervliet is hosting its annual Lebanese Food Festival in Hudson Shores Park, featuring dishes "from baklava to tabouli and beyond." Saturday 11am to 5pm - free admission and parking

Rock n Roll brunch
Sunday: The Low Beat is hosting once again hosting the popular Rock N Roll Brunch. Music by Party Shirt aka Kieran Robbins. Sunday starting at 10:30 am

Flag Day

Troy Flag Day Parade
Sunday: The Troy Flag Day parade is believed to be the largest one in the nation. It steps off at 4th and Main Street in South Troy, runs north along 4th Street, and ends at 4th and Federal Street downtown. Sunday 1-3 pm - free

Saratoga Springs Flag Day Parade
Saturday: The annual Saratoga Springs Flag Day parade will run from North Broadway to Congress Park. Saturday 11:30am to 2pm - free

Strawberry season
It's berry picking season. Here are a few places around the region where you can pick your own.

Swimming

Victoria Pool
The Victoria Pool in Saratoga Spa State Park is open this weekend. The pool will be open on weekends only until June 27. 10 am-6 pm - $8 adults / $4 kids / kids under 5 free

Beach
The beaches at Moreau Lake State Park and Grafton Lakes State Park are open for the season.

Dancing with the Stars Live! - Perfect Ten Tour
Sunday: Dancing with the stars comes to SPAC with top ten dancers Melissa Rycroft, Witney Carson, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Emma Slater, and Rumer Willis. Sunday 7 pm - $29.50 and up

Dog Sees God
Friday/Saturday: This is the last weekend for Creative License theater company's production of Dog Sees God - Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, a play that imagines the popular Peanuts characters as teenagers. Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm - $15

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Friday-Sunday: Christopher Durang's Tony-winning comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike continues this weekend at Curtain Call Theater. Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 3pm - $24

Yeats Day
Saturday: The Irish American Heritage Museum and members of the Albany Civic Theatre will celebrate the 150th birthday of William Butler Yeats with readings of his poetry. Saturday at noon

Improv

Spontaneous Broadway
Friday: The Mop & Bucket Company wraps up its season with one last performance of Spontaneous Broadway in the Underground at Proctors. In the first act, performers improvise songs on the spot from audience suggestions. Then the audience selects one song and performers turn it into an entire improvised Broadway musical. Friday 8 pm - $14 / $6 for students & seniors

Dollars to Donuts
Saturday: Capital Region improvisors Dollars to Donuts will perform at Albany's French PressCafe and Creperie. Saturday at 2pm. Free admission.

Out To Kill
Friday: The Palace is screening Out To Kill the last film in its Palace Pride Film Festival. Friday 7 pm - $15 / student tickets are $10 w/ ID

Wanda the Wonderful
Friday: As part of Skidmore's Documentary Studies Collaborative, filmmaker Carolyn MacCartney will be on hand for a screening of Wanda the Wonderful, the story of a "gun-slinging wild woman" in the American West. Friday 7 pm - free admission
