Erykah Badu headlines the Saratoga Jazz Festival at SPAC this weekend.

Into every weekend a little rain must fall. Well, not every weekend, but this weekend. Probably. Still, it's a weekend, it's the summer, and there is a long list of stuff to do in the Capital Region.

Troy Night Out
Friday: It's Troy Night Out. Collar City shops, restaurants and galleries are open with all kinds of fun stuff to do. This month is Kids Night Out and Pets Night Out, so bring your wee people and furry friends along. On the list of stuff to do:

+ Cycle Complete, a dance performance by Rachelle Smith-Stallman's Party of 5, The Fence Show, and a digital art display at the Art Center of the Capital Region.
+ 1st Playable will be open with tours of its game studio located in an 1800s ballroom and an opportunity to participate in its interactive Minecraft exhibit, and there will be an opportunity to try its latest games.
+ City Station will have food trucks, entertainment, games, and music by Off The Record.

Tri-City ValleyCats baseball
Friday/Saturday: The ValleyCats home season is underway at Joe Bruno Stadium. This weekend the ValleyCats take on the Staten Island Yankees. Friday they'll honor local youth baseball organizations on Youth Baseball Night. Saturday is GE Kids Get in Free Night. Children get in free on Saturday with a paying adult. Friday and Saturday at 7 pm

Round Lake Antiques Festival
Saturday/Sunday: Round Lake's annual Antiques Festival is this weekend in the village center. More than 125 antiques dealers from around the United States and Canada. Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm (rain or shine) - free admission

Hudson River Exchange - Summer Market
Saturday/Sunday: The Hudson River Exchange Summer Market brings together handmade work by local artisans and vintage finds in a big outdoor market on the Hudson. Vendors, food, music and more in Henry Hudson Park in Hudson. Saturday from 10am to 6pm, Sunday from 10am to 4pm - free admission

Solid Sound Festival
Friday-Sunday: The Wilco's Solid Sound Festival returns to MASS MoCA. The lineup for the music/comedy/art festival includes Mac Demarco, Parquet Courts, Real Estate, Shabazz Palaces, Cibo Matto, and John Hodgman. And Wilco, of course. the three-day pass and Saturday day pass are sold out, but day passes are still available for Friday and Sunday

Old Songs Festival
Friday-Sunday: The Old Songs Festival returns to the Altamont Fairgrounds. Acts from a range of styles -- folk, traditional, Celtic, world music, and dance -- will be performing. There are also workshops with performers, a craft show, vendors for food and instruments, and kids activities. Friday-Sunday - various prices

Saratoga Jazz Festival
Saturday-Sunday: The Saratoga Jazz Festival returns to SPAC with music on two stages. This year's line-up includes Erykah Badu, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, Cassandra Wilson, Sheila E., Al Di Meola Electric Band, and Snarky Puppy. Saturday-Sunday - $60 and up

Comedy's Best Kept Secret Tour
Friday: The Comedy's Best Kept Secret Tour will be at the Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs with a lineup that Dan Frigolette and Saratoga Springs native Sara DeForest. Friday 9 pm - $15

Pretty Much the Best Comedy Show
Saturday: Kevin McCaffrey headlines Pretty Much the Best Comedy Show Ever at Proctors this weekend. McCaffrey is an NYC-based comedian and writer who debuted on Letterman in 2013 and was hired as the show's warm-up act for the rest of its run. Saturday 8 pm - $15

Burlesque
Saturday: Guy Smiley and the Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque company bring their Pin-up Parade show (18+) to The Low Beat. Saturday 7 pm (two shows) - $15

Film

Bow Tie
The Bow Tie Cinema in Saratoga presents Bette Davis in Dark Victory as its Movies and Mimosa flick on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 11 am, and Army of Darkness at the Friday and Saturday night Insomnia Theater classic at 11:30 pm.

Plan 9 from Outer Space
Bella Lugosi and Vampira star in this sci-fi cult classic Plan 9 from Outer Space, screening this weekend at The Madison Theater.

The Audience
Sunday: The Spectrum is screening an encore presentation of the National Theater Live presentation of The Audience, the Broadway play starring Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II in private audiences with her prime ministers. Sunday at noon

Art

The Late Drawings of Andy Warhol
The Hyde Collection presents an exhibit featuring some of Any Warhol's drawings created between 1973 to 1987, one of Warhol's most prolific periods. Many of the drawings are on view to the public for the first time. Through September 27 as part of regular museum admission.

State Museum
The State Museum is hosting the 2015 Best of SUNY art exhibition, showcasing art from SUNY students around the state. It's open through September 6.

Also now open: The Empire State Plaza at 50, a small exhibit marking the 50th anniversary of the ESP. It includes photos, renderings, and art related to the plaza's construction.

Civil War Living History Day
Saturday: Mabee Farm Historic Site hosts a Civil War History Day with reenactors, trade demonstrations and tours of the Mabee farm house. Saturday, 10am to 4pm - $5, free for students and children

Waterski Show/ Fireworks
Friday: There's a water ski show and fireworks along the river at Jumpin' Jack's in Scotia. Friday 7 pm - free

Shmaltz Brewing Company "Double Feature" 2nd Anniversary Party
Saturday: Shmaltz Brewing is hosting a beer festival with tastings of their own beers and that of guest brewers to celebrate their second anniversary in Clifton Park. Saturday 1pm to 5pm - $25

Home Fair
Sunday: The city of Schenectady is hosting a home buying fair with information and assistance for potential home buyers. Sunday at City Hall from 10am to 1pm - free

Ballston Spa Village Family Fun Day
Sunday: The Saratoga County Fairgrounds hosts the 22nd annual Ballston Spa Village Family Fun Day. Sunday 3pm to 10pm - free admission

Tivoli Lake Preserve community day
Saturday: There's a community day planned at Albany's Tivoli Lake Preserve (earlier) -- volunteers will be helping with trail maintenance from 10 am-1 pm, and then from 1-5 pm there will be music, food, face painting, and demonstrations. Saturday 10 am-5 pm - free

Strawberry season
It's berry picking season. Here are a few places around the region where you can pick your own.

Swimming

Victoria Pool
The Victoria Pool in Saratoga Spa State Park is open this weekend. The pool will be open on weekends only until June 27. 10 am-6 pm - $8 adults / $4 kids / kids under 5 free

Beach
The beaches at Moreau Lake State Park and Grafton Lakes State Park are open for the season.

Public pools
Many public pools around the area will be opening soon, if they haven't already. So check your local pool.

Berkshire Botanical Garden
The Berkshire Botanical Garden is open for the season. It's a nice day trip.

Farmers' markets
Capital Region farmers' markets are outdoors:
+ The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market will be on River Street Saturday from 9 am-2 pm.
+ The Saratoga Farmers' Market will be in High Rock Park. Saturday from 9 am-1 pm
+ The Delmar Farmers Market recently opened for the season at Bethlehem Central Middle School. Saturday 9 am-1 pm
+ The Schenectady Greenmarket will be around Schenectady City Hall. Sunday from 10 am-2 pm.
+ The Spa City Farmers' Market will be outside the Lincoln Baths Sunday from 10 am-3 pm
