Mayor's Cup
Saturday: The hockey teams from RPI and Union face off at the Times Union Center for the Mayor's Cup. Here's the seating chart so you can ensure your tickets dovetail with your allegiance. Saturday 7:30 pm - $15 / $10 students

Cinderella
Friday-Sunday: A touring production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella wraps up its run at Proctors. Blurbage: "This lush production features an incredible orchestra, jaw-dropping transformations and all the moments you love--the pumpkin, the glass slipper, the masked ball and more--plus some surprising new twists!" Naked Influence
Friday-Sunday: Capital Rep's production of Naked Influence is in previews this weekend. The show, set in a strip club, is the story of a stripper in a doomed relationship with a Congressman. Friday 8 pm / Saturday 3 pm and 8 pm / Sunday 2 pm - various prices
Men are from Mars Women are from Venus
Friday: Proctors hosts the Off-Broadway comedy Men are from Mars Women are from Venus. Friday 7:30 pm - $45
Sleuth
Friday-Sunday: Curtain Call Theatre continues a new production of Anthony Shaffer's comedy/thriller Sleuth. Friday and Saturday at 8 pm / Sunday at 3 pm - $24
Theatresports
Friday: MopCo's Theatersports returns to Proctors underground this weekend. Two teams compete against each other, creating scenes and songs based on audience suggestions. Think Whose Line is it Anyway?. Friday at 8pm - $14 / $6 students and seniors

Saturday: Northshire Bookstore and Saratoga Film Forum host a screening and discussion of the 90s film Clueless at The Arts Center of Saratoga. Jen Chaney -- author of As If: The Oral History of Clueless as Told by Amy Heckerling and the Cast & Crew -- will be appearing via Skype for the discussion and Q&A. Classics
+ The Saturday and Sunday morning Movies and Mimosa classic at The Bow Tie in Saratoga Springs is Dead Ringer. It's Bette Davis playing two sisters -- one good, one evil.
+ The Friday & Saturday late night Insomnia Theater film is David Lynch's Eraserhead.
Albany Devils
Friday-Saturday: The Albany Devils have two home games against St. John's this weekend at the Times Union Center. Friday at 7 pm and Saturday at 2 pm
Frost Fair
Saturday: The Saratoga Battlefield hosts its annual Frost Fair. Frost fairs date back to the 1700s. This one will have horse-drawn carriage rides, an encampment, a bonfire, a scavenger hunt, crafts, games and music. Saturday 11 am-3 pm - free
Museums
Winter weekends are great times to wander through one of the Capital Region's museums.
+ The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls recently opened Norman Rockwell in the 1960s, featuring 21 illustrations and original magazine covers "created by the beloved artist during a decade of change and turmoil." (And while you're there, here are some fun places to eat in Glens Falls.)
+ If you're interested in more Norman Rockwell, you can head over to Stockbridge for the Norman Rockwell Museum.
+ You can check out the Masterworks: 225 Years of Collecting exhibit at the Albany Institute. And there'a also The Capital Region in 50 Objects exhibit.
+ MASS MoCA has a handful of current exhibits/ (There's also currently a car on site for collecting LEGO for Ai Weiwei.)
+ The Clark has a good permanent collection, and there's currently an exhibit about how works have been added to it.
+ If you're up a for a bit of trip, you can head to Beacon and Dia:Beacon.
Skating
ESP
The ice skating rink at the Empire State Plaza is open for the season. (Weather permitting -- be sure to check before going.) It's open every day 11 am-8 pm and it's free to skate. Skate rentals are $4 for adults / $3 for kids (and free on Friday).
Swinburne
Swinburne ice rink in Albany has opened for the season. The rink is open seven days a week. Hours vary. It's $1 to skate (.25 for seniors and .50 for students). Skate rental is $3.
Farmers' markets
Stop by a farmers market for something local and delicious:
+ Troy Waterfront Farmers Market is inside the Atrium. Saturday 9 am-2 pm
+ The Saratoga Farmers' Market is indoors at the Lincoln Baths. Saturday from 9 am-1 pm
+ The Schenectady Greenmarket is at its indoor location at Proctors. Sunday from 10 am-2 pm.
+ The Spa City Farmers' Market is inside at the Lincoln Baths Sunday from 10 am-3 pm

University Club Foundation’s Fourth Annual Robert Burns Supper on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., at the National Register-listed University Club of Albany, 141 Washington Avenue at Dove Street.
Join old friends and new for tartans and bagpipes, songs and stories, neeps & tatties and haggis, poetry, whisky, the Cup of Kindness, and lots and lots of laughter. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails in the living room followed by a bagpipe procession at 7 p.m. into the candlelit main dining room for a traditional Scottish buffet.
