We're still on a bit of a summer break here, but we put together a list of a few things we thought you might like to do this weekend.

If you've got something planned that you don't see here, drop it in the comments for the rest of the crowd to see.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater
Friday-Saturday: The Alvin Ailey America Dance Theater brings a weekend of modern dance to SPAC. (Friday's performance includes a free community picnic with admission.) Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm -- $55 and up

Delaware Ave Street Fair & Community Garage Sale
Saturday: The annual Delaware Avenue Street Fair and Garage Sale returns in the Albany neighborhood. Live music, more than 60 craft vendors, fair food, magic, and other family-friendly entertainment, plus the Delaware Public Library SummerFest. Saturday 9 am to 5 pm -- free admission

Circus Smirkus 2016 Big Top Tour
Friday-Saturday: Circus Smirkus, youth circus, performs four shows at the Saratoga Casino Hotel's outdoor polo field. This year's theme is Up HUP and Away: The Invention of Flight, and includes high-flying acrobatics, juggling, and clowns. Friday and Saturday 1 pm and 6 pm - $25 adults / $23 under 12 / free under 2 (if on parent's lap)

Art in the Park
Saturday: Art in the Park returns to Congress Park in Saratoga Sp[rings] with artists and crafters from around the region displaying and selling their work. There will be music, prizes, food, and a kids art zone. Saturday 10 am-5 pm -- free admission

10x10 Show at Saratoga Arts
Saturday: There's an opening reception for the 10 x 10 show at the Saratoga County Arts building (corner of Spring Street and Broadway in Saratoga Springs). The summer exhibition includes 200 local artists' work in "10x10" format at The Arts Center Gallery. Saturday 6-8 pm -- $10

Electric City Comic Con
Saturday: The Schenectady Public Library hosts its second annual Electric City Comic Con. Workshops, authors, illustrators, a scribble game show, cosplay contest and a market. Saturday from 10am to 4pm -- free admission

BMW Vintage at Saratoga Lawn Show
Saturday: Saratoga Automobile Museum celebrates 100 years of BMWs with a car show. Saturday 8:30 am-3:30 pm -- $10

Craft Fair and Cruise In
Saturday-Sunday: The Shaker Heritage Society will hold a two-day craft fair and car show at the Shaker Heritage Site in Colonie with artists and crafters selling jewelry, clothing, toys and more. There will also be a family activity tent, classic cars to view, and site tours offered earlier in the day. Saturday and Sunday 10 am-4 pm -- $4 / free for veterans, active military, and children under 13

Baseball
Saturday: The Albany Dutchmen will face off against the Glens Falls Dragons at the Christian Plumeri Sports Complex in Albany. Saturday 7:05 pm - $5 / students and seniors $4 (with ID) / $3 for kids 12 and under / under 4 free

Williamstown Theatre Festival
Friday-Sunday: The Williamstown Theatre Festival's 2016 season is underway with a production of the Tennessee William comedy The Rose Tattoo, starring Marisa Tomei, on the main stage (it runs through July 17). There's a production of The Cost of Living on the Nikos Stage (it runs through July 10). various times -- $40 and up

A Night With Janis Joplin
Friday-Sunday: A Night with Janis Joplin, Randy Johnson's play about the Rock n Roll legend, which includes Joplin's music, is in previews at Capital Rep. Friday-Sunday -- various times and prices.

Frances Day
Saturday: The Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College holds its annual Frances Day -- a community open house with art-making, food, music and fun. The day is held in honor of the museum's namesake, Frances Young Tang. Saturday noon to 6 pm -- free

Also at The Tang: A More Perfect Union -- a new exhibit featuring Mel Ziegler's Multi-Year Project Flag Exchange. The installation includes 50 American flags collected by Ziegler, who traveled the country trading new flags for tattered ones flying at homes and public locations. (Runs through January)-- free admission (suggested donations of $2 - $5)

Circus Day
Sunday: The Arkell Museum hosts a Circus Family Day to celebrate its current exhibition Circus Circus. Circus Theatricks will perform and teach some circus tricks. There will also be circus and art activities for families. Saturday 10 am to 5 pm -- free with regular museum admission

Alexander Hamilton
The Albany Institute of History and Art recently opened a new exhibit on the life of Alexander Hamilton and his time in Albany. Hamilton, who has experienced a resurgence in popularity due to Lin Manuel Miranda's award-winning musical based on his life, married Elizabeth Schuyler at the Schuyler Mansion in Albany and visited the city often after that. The exhibit highlights objects related to Hamilton, including a portrait from the permanent collection of Union College. (On display through December 31.)

Baseball Hall of Fame
Summer is a great time to visit Cooperstown and check out the National Baseball Hall of Fame. In addition to its regular exhibits, there's currently an installation about Negro League third baseman Oliver Marcelle.

Ansel Adams
The Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown has an exhibit of early works by Ansel Adams on display through September 18.

MASS MoCA

Splendor, Myth, and Vision
Now on display at The Clark: Splendor, Myth, and Vision: Nudes from the Prado. Blurbage: "The exhibition explores the role of the nude in European painting in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and the collecting and display practices of the Spanish royalty. Twenty-four of the paintings have never before been shown in America." It's on display through October 10.

Best of SUNY Student Art
This year's Best of SUNY Student Art Exhibition is now on display at the State Museum. It's juried presentation of student work from across SUNY's many campuses. "The works on exhibit at the New York State Museum represent the wide range of media being studied by art students within SUNY and cover the traditional areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture, as well as digital imaging, photography, and mixed media installations." It's on display through October 23.

The exhibit Imaging the American West: Selections from The Metropolitan Museum of Art also continues the State Museum. It includes works by artists such as Albert Bierstadt, Paul Manship, Georgia O'Keeffe, Frederic Remington, and Charles M. Russell. It will be on display through July 17.

Sculpture parks
Maybe you'd like to explore some sculpture parks around the region.

Day trips
Explore some waterfalls, head for The Berkshires, The Catskills, or Columbia County. Or check out a state park.

Strawberries
We're at the end of the strawberry season at many farms, but there might be a few where you can still pick your own. (And start looking for blueberries.)

Run The Ridge

Troy Flea returns to downtown this Sunday with more than 25 vendors expected at Riverfront Park. The market is held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday of each month through Oct. 23. It features vintage clothing, vinyl records, furniture, housewares, jewelry and crafts.
