A quick recap of the week

week review

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ There was a really big boat docked in Troy.

+ Alex asked where he could find a mechanic -- and people had a lot of suggestions.

+ Sebastien's Urban Decay Tour of the Capital Regionâ„¢ continued with at the Wellington Hotel.

+ We pulled the graduation rates for Capital Region high schools from the state data.

+ We're going the wrong way.

+ There's now an alternate side parking grace period in Albany (with exceptions).

+ B collected photos of the new Sculpture in the Streets collection.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: urinals, French cars, bad golf approaches, graduation, garage bands, booted buses, jam, tequila, breakfast, generosity and a bellinitini.

+ Kathie told us about the Indian Ladder hiking trail.

+ The Thruway turned 55 this week.

+ Justin gave us the scoop on how to spend 12 (fun) hours in Schoharie County.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: rugged guys in Sesame Street shirts, a shy hedgehog, a nanny with daddy issues and a honeybee colony.

+ New York State upped the price for eggs. No, not that kind. The other kind.

+ Dawn went down to Davey Jones Locker.

+ And what's in the farmers' markets this week.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

And thanks to everyone who posted a comment or sent along a photo or idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
