A quick recap of the week

week review

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ This guy named Barack Obama -- you may know him as the President of the United States -- made a visit to the Capital Region. He arrived on quite the ride.

+ This year's LarkFest had great weather and great music -- which led to some great photos. And a dancing burrito.

+ Three teens were arrested for the murder of UAlbany student Richard Bailey.

+ New York State has a lieutenant governor again.

+ Filming for The Other Guys began in downtown Albany.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: squirrels, John Wilkes Booth, shawarma, cast iron, burgers, the Adelphi, not-so-friendly Friendly's, food criticism, the Corning Tower, soul food, disco fries and Poland.

+ David Paterson lost the key mustache bloc of voters.

+ Dodgeball, anyone?

+ Wi-fi was taken off the lunch menu.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: racing homers, arm candy, a deflating desire, visual second base and acorns.

+ Coy-wolf!

+ Dawn told us about I Love Books in Delmar -- which has more than just books.

+ And, how do you say that? (We may have to revisit this topic.)

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or sent along a photo or idea this week! There were a lot of great photos this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
