Stuff to do this weekend

USS Slater.jpg

The USS Slater is open for tours this weekend.

Three mostly sunny days off. In a row!

Got a plan yet?

Here's our list of stuff that looks like fun. If we missed something good, let us know.

And have an awesome weekend.

Troy Night Out
The weather looks gorgeous for tonight's Troy Night Out. If you've been wanting to check out Casperland , this would be a good night to hit them up. Marc Denardo, NonHorse and Loud Objects are combining music and projections in what promise to be some pretty wild multi-media performances. Tonight is also the grand opening of the River-Front Art Coop. Here's the full TNO schedule. Be sure and hit the official/unofficial Troy Night Out After-Party at Daisy Baker's with Billy Bob, Ryan Kick and Back From Japan.

Comments

Another one of my many hats also includes trumpet player for the renowned Capital District Red Caps Marching Band. More Parades this weekend (i.e., the ones I'll be playing in) include:

Saturday: East Greenbush Memorial Day Parade: 10am

Sunday: Rensselaer Memorial Day Parade: 2pm

I'll also be marching in the Troy parade on Monday! Look for the dork in the red baseball cap playing trumpet.

I'm sick of all the non-Albany stuff on this site! Out of the 26 events you listed, only 6 are in Albany.

Its cool that you want to cover the goings-on in the suburbs, but please stop calling yourself All Over Albany.

@Dove:

In defense of the Website and its editors, Albany County encompasses a lot of territory outside of the city its self. Also.... You don't have to read the blog if you are that unhappy with it- Free will, Baby!

Pretty sure that the farmer's market in Menands is open tomorrow as well.

Dear Dove, That's the silliest flame I've read all day. Thanks. Love you AOA!

THANK YOU AOA!! You save the day once again!

I can't believe I didn't know Keith Kane (and Brian Fechino from Pat McGee band) were in "town" (Cohoes) tonight. I'd have cried had I missed this!

The Lark Street Horns are parading tonight in Troy and are inviting people to Second Line with them a la New Orleans. Bring noise making stuff and come have fun. :)

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
