A quick recap of the week

week review 2012-02-23

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Daniel shared his favorite flavor of Stewart's ice cream.

+ We ran a fast break on some numbers after Siena was rumored to be up for inclusion in a new -- and very good -- basketball conference.

+ The era of holy-crap-will-I-have-a-media-job-tomorrow? continued.

+ Casey stopped in to taste some unpretentious beer at the unpretentious Butternuts brewery near Cooperstown.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: a remarkable yet neglected story, change, school-based comestibles masquerading as actual food, a zero-degree wind chill relay, OK - THICK ICE, summer in February, mac 'n cheese, the Confectionery, king cake, the last waddle of the porcupine, a gobbled gobbler, and a riddle.

+ We gave away tickets to New York in Bloom and brunch at City Beer Hall by asking: What are you looking forward to this spring in the Capital Region?

+ The closest most of us will ever come to an Oscar.

+ Two local guys have made a significant addition to the Craigslist Wedding Date Wanted canon.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: manscaping, an exceptional cough, honeybees, and a fossil rock.

+ Saratoga native Chris Millis spent three very productive days.

+ And Sujatha asked about finding a dosa maker for parties.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
