Stuff to do this weekend
It's summer. It's the weekend. Sneak out early if you can. We won't tell on you if you won't tell on us.
AOA is skipping out a little early for the weekend, but not before leaving you with a long list of stuff to do. You'll find our list after the jump. As always, if you've got something planned that you don't see here, drop it in the comments so everyone can check it out.

Philadelphia Orchestra
The Philadelphia Orchestra continues its annual run at SPAC. Friday is Yo-Yo Ma night. And Saturday is Cirque de la Symphonie.
The Track
We've reached the halfway mark for the season at the Saratoga Race Course. This coming Sunday is a gate giveaway day -- a Saratoga tote bag.
Cirque Éloize
Friday-Sunday: It's the second weekend of the "modern" circus company Cirque Éloize on the main stage at Proctors. The show this year is "iD," which incorporates dance. various times - $20 and up
Urban Raid
Saturday: The Urban Raid race returns to downtown Albany on Saturday. The race/obstacle course will run through a loop around the area near the ESP. Registration is still open, but it's now onsite (not online) -- it starts at $60.
Round Lake Art & Craft Show
Saturday-Sunday: Round Lake's annual village wide arts and crafts sale is this weekend. Artists and vendors from across the country will be set up around the village. Saturday 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm - free admission
Theater
Cabaret
The Local Actors Guild of Saratoga's performance of the Kander and Ebb musical Cabaret closes on Sunday at the Arts Center of Saratoga. The show stars Capital Region standout Brittany Leigh Glenn as Sally Bowles and Oliver Ord as the emcee. Friday & Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm - $20 general admission
WTF
+ Chita Rivera and Roger Rees (Lord John Marbury on The West Wing) star in WTF's production of The Visit, directed by John Doyle. With a book by Terrance McNally and music by Kander and Ebb, it's the story of the "oft-widowed richest woman in the world, who returns to the hardship-stricken town of her birth."
Also at Williamstown this weekend: Pig Pen Theater Company presents The Old Man and the Moon, the story of a man who abandons his job of filling the moon with light, to cross the seas in search of his missing wife.
Park Playhouse
The Park Playhouse in Albany's Washington Park continues its August production, which is Oliver this year. (It runs through August 16.)
The Tempest
Confetti Stage presents Shakespeare's The Tempest in the garden at the Ten Broeck Mansion. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday at 2pm. $15, $8 for kids 6-12, under 12 - free, bring your own blanket or rent a chair for $2
Shakespeare in Lincoln Park
Steamer 10 presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) this weekend, outdoors in Albany's Lincoln Park. Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 1pm - free
Cap Rep
This is closing weekend for Cap Rep's production of Smokey Joe's Cafe.
Guys and Dolls
The Mac Haydn Theater in Chatham opens a production of the Frank Loesser classic Guys and Dolls this weekend.
Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Shakespeare & Company in Lenox has a production of Christopher Durang's take on Chekov, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, this weekend.

Improv
Sunday: The Mop & Bucket Company will perform a summer improv show at Caffe Lena. Sunday 7 pm - $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
Bombers Belly Laughs
Bombers in Troy hosts Bombers Belly Laughs Comedy show with Shawn Gillie and a roster of local stand-up artists. Friday 8pm.

Outdoor movies at the Capitol
Friday: The first of the outdoor films in West Capitol Park is Despicable Me 2. There's no seating, so bring a blanket or a lawn chair. movie starts at 8 pm - free

Nostalgic drag cars
The Lebanon Valley Dragway is hosting its annual Dover Drag Strip Nostalgic Car Show. Vintage cars, funny cars, gassers, dragsters, and a hot rod show. Saturday racing begins at 9am, Sunday racing begins at 9:30am - $10 on Saturday, $15 Sunday, under 12 free on Sunday
World's Largest Game of Tag
This Sunday you can try to help set a new world's record in what organizers hope will be the world's largest game of tag. Organizers are trying to pull 3,000 people together to play tag at Maple Ridge Ski Lodge on Sunday from 1-3 pm. You can enter by making a donation. Donations will be shared between the American Red Cross, the Alzheimer's Association, Make A Wish and the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
Polo
Saratoga Polo hosts matches on Friday and Sunday at Whitney field. Friday and Sunday 5:30pm - $20-$50
Museums
Grossology
miSci's Grossology exhibit is open for a few more weeks. Digestion, organs, and stinky gunk to play with, including interactive games and larger-than-life exhibits about the science of the human body. Saturday 9 am-5 pm and Sunday noon-5 pm
Ansel Adams/ Edward Hopper
The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls continues its exhibition of later works by photographer Ansel Adams, and a show featuring Edward Hopper and some of his contemporaries.
Albany Institute
The Albany Institute of History and Art's Small and Seductive contemporary art exhibit is up for a few more weeks, as is its Summer Exposure photography exhibit.
The Clark
The much-anticipated expansion of The Clark Art Institute -- designed by architect Tadao Ando -- is now open. The Clark is in Williamstown, about an hour's drive east of Albany. If you're headed that way, you might think about a combo ticket for The Clark, MASS MoCA, and the Williams College Museum of Art.
Berkshire Botanical Gardens
The Berkshire Botanical Gardens are a lovely place to to wander or have a picnic. Combine it with a dinner in Stockbridge or a trip to the Berkshire Theater Festival.
Hit the beach
Time is running out. If you need your ocean fix, here are some of the closest places to get it.
Check out a state park
Visit a local state park, like Cherry Plain, Moreau, Grafton Lakes or Peebles Island.
Swimming
There are a bunch of Capital Region pools and beaches. Here's a handful of places to swim.
