A quick recap of the week

week review 2016-03-05

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ St. Patrick's Day (both actual and observed) is coming up soon -- here's a roundup of local activities and places related to the holiday.

+ We gave away city passes for the Collar City Kilt Fest by asking: Tell us about a way that you're lucky -- or a time that you were lucky.

+ The meteorological winter (December, January, February) that just ended was the warmest, least snowy on record here.

+ Deanna took comfort in the Egg in the Bread at The Breakfast Spot. (Or whatever you call the dish.)

+ We looked at the latest numbers from Albany's red light cameras.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: a nice thing, what's in our control, scenes from a bar, the Collar City Creamery, a ski weekend, a half marathon, beach weather, the foggy Mohawk River, local versus national, Lenten fish fry, Troy Kitchen, duck, a breakfast burger, copycats, and sausage cabinetry.

+ There's a vegan deli planned for Lark Street. Yep, a vegan deli.

+ We gave away a ticket to the "Brew Better at Home" coffee class at Superior Merchandise by asking: How do you like your coffee?

+ One of those rankings pegged Albany as the 36th best metro to live in -- and that got us thinking about what distinguishes Albany (if anything does).

+ And ice cream season has started!

Here's the whole week in one place.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
