A quick recap of the week
Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:
+ Here's a look at the new Albany recycling truck that has an automatic arm that picks up bins... there's a video, it'll make sense when you see it.
+ It rained -- a lot -- putting the year closer to the "normal" track for total rainfall.
+ A giant sinkhole on South Lake Ave in Albany swallowed an SUV.
+ Some of the ideas that bubbled up during this week's Rezone Albany focus on the neighborhood around the downtown UAlbany campus. (We'll have the renderings depicting some of the possibilities posted on Monday.)
+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: gliding, a fire tower, hiking, Delaware County, taxi service, traffic signals, learning to cook, tacos, pizza, a pig's head, barbecue, milkweed, destination restaurants, and fireworks.
+ What Google Maps say are local areas of interest.
+ Julie shared some ideas for a weekend summer trip to the New Hampshire coast.
+ Thanks to everyone who stopped by to eat ice cream with us at Emack & Bolio's. (It turns out it's fun to give people free ice cream.)
+ AND THE AOA STARTUP GRANT IS BACK! YOU SHOULD APPLY!
Here's the whole week in one place.
Thanks to everyone who posted a comment, sent along a photo, or shared an idea this week!
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
