A quick recap of the week

week review 2017-06-10

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Anonymous asked about finding a private chef for a special in-home meal and celebration.

+ "It means that we brought justice to Henry Johnson."

+ Melissa asked about finding a good acupuncturist and/or massage therapist. There were a lot of suggestions.

+ A few bits about the new free shuttle that CDTA's running through the Warehouse District/downtown Albany/Lark Street Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays this summer.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: a vault heist, Henry Johnson, the Schuyler Mansion, plans for the Captiol area, tracing a lifetime, the Peace Pagoda, The Crows, lupine, hummingbirds, the first CSA box, brunch, the dog bar, and crates.

+ (A different) Melissa asked about local restaurants with really good dining experiences, that aren't necessarily fancy. People had a lot of ideas.

+ Vexed asked about where to get good vegetable plants for a late-start garden.

+ We're giving away tickets to this year's Hidden City House and Garden Tour + gift certificate for El Mariachi by asking: What's on your local summer "to do" list?

+ And it's pool season -- here's the annual roundup of local public pools.

Here's the whole week in one place.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
