A quick recap of the week

week review

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ There was all sorts of drama in the state Senate -- and the event that started it off was planned in an unlikely downtown Albany location. And the apparent final straw: incessant Blackberrying.

+ Jess was one of the judges for Project Larkway.

+ We talked with Kaitlin Cassidy, the Saratoga native who's on that Paris Hilton reality show.

+ A negative review of EMPAC's design set off a discussion.

+ Jess visited an opera museum.

+ Amy checked out the new Albany Flea Market.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: boils, fountains, construction, Stewart's, barbecue, ice cream, plastic bags and slapstick.

+ We had tea with the Tulip Queen.

+ Beware of peanut.

+ We ate at the new Dale Miller restaurant in downtown Albany.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: skins, a hammie explosion, a straw, mixed signals and a straight shooter with upper management potential.

+ James ran the numbers to find out who has the best local weather forecast.

+ At least we're not __________.

+ Dawn took a ride at Hoffman's Playland.

+ And thank you for voting for us in the TU's Best of 2009 poll. We really appreciate it.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Big thanks to James this week for all the weather forecast number crunching.

And thanks to everyone who posted a comment or sent along an idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
