A quick recap of the week

week review 2010-10-30

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We checked out the Zombie Walk on Central Ave.

+ We gave away the chance to see OK Go, Eytan & The Embassy, Those Darlins -- free.

+ For the giveaway, we asked people about their favorite candy -- the results of the informal poll (Candy corn? Really?)

+ We heard about Bryon and Ed's Bills Backers parties.

+ Carl told us about the Elkanah Watson, Albany's "infernal paving Yankee."

+ The Siena poll reported that Chris Gibson is now leading Scott Murphy.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: cynicism, Central Warehouse, ghost hunting, pizza, long waits, cheap lunches, gnocchi, comics, Uncle Sam, zombies, a caterpillar, and chemistry.

+ The story behind how the first television drama was broadcast from Schenectady.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: a briefcase with an unfortunate job, stimulating workplace conversations, dry ice, and a cat with an air of superiority.

+ There was an arrest in the Central Warehouse fire case.

+ How to spend 12 (fun) hours in Columbia County.

+ Kirsten Gillibrand is apparently moving closer to Albany.

+ Another batch of custom license plates spotted around town.

+ And AOA is hiring. Spread the word.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
