Yep, we're still on a short break, but the weekend looks like it will be fantastic and there's a ton of stuff to do. So, after the jump, we've pulled a few things together that look promising.

Ballet
The New York City Ballet opened at SPAC this week. Tonight there's an all Balanchine program at 8 and a kids program that starts at 7. Saturday afternoon NYCB performs a Balanchine and Peter Martins program and Saturday night is the annual gala featuring a Duke Ellington tribute.

Music
+ Jake Shimabukuro is at The Egg tonight. He's one of the world's best ukulele players. The clip of him covering "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" has been watched more than 8 million times on YouTube.
+ The "bohemian dance punk" of Bella's Bartok is at Red Square tonight, with The Lucky Jukebox Brigade.
+ Around the World and Back plays Valentine's tonight at 8:30 with Barons in the Attic, Former Belle and Wild Adriatic.
+ Paranoid Social Club and Sirsy are at Putnam Den on Saturday at 8 pm.
+ And, yep, Camp Bisco is in progress -- it's sold out.

Mama Mia
ABBA's feel good musical is at Proctors tonight at 8, Saturday at 2 and 8 and Sunday at 2.

More Theater
Summer theater festival season is in full swing. Here are a few of the shows you can catch this weekend:
+ Boeing-Boeing at The Theater Barn.
+ Lewis Black's farce, One Slight Hitch, is at the Williamstown Theater Festival.
+ Guys and Dolls is at Barrington Stage Company.

Denis Leary
Denis Leary is at The Palace on Sunday night at 7.

Film
Guitarist Marc Ribot accompanies Charlie Chaplin's classic silent The Kid, with an original score on Saturday night in the courtyard at MASS MoCA.

Drive-in
+ Malta Drive-in: Cars 2/Zookeeper on one screen, Transformers/Bad Teacher on the other.
+ Jericho Drive-in: Transformers and Super 8.
+ Hollywood Drive-in: Cars 2 and Super 8.

Swimming
The pools, sprinklers and beaches in the Capital Region are all officially open. Here are the details you'll need.

Farmers' markets
Saturday: Troy, Saratoga, Delmar. Sunday: Schenectady and the new Malta Drive-in Market.

Road trips
Take a shopping trip to Northampton or spend 12 hours in Ulster County, Bennington, Vermont orColumbia County.

Brunch
Spend a lazy morning/afternoon lingering over brunch and a Bloody Mary or enjoy a great diner breakfast.
