A quick recap of the week

week review 2013-01-26

Here are a few highlights from the past short week on AOA:

+ Daniel says the dukbokki at Mingle is deeply comforting and spicy.

+ Andrew Cuomo introduced his proposed state budget -- here's a quick scan.

+ We got some historical context for the recent string of really cold days.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: photos, winter scenes, O. Henry, the academic job market, coffee in downtown Troy, the food and wine festival, Vichy water, dining alone, duck confit quesadilla, hazelnuts, mango pickles, olive oil, a wedding gown, the inauguration, Loudonville, and toddler moments.

+ Out this week 2012 median home prices for a bunch of cities and towns around the Capital Region.

+ We did the math to figure where we might be able to get the most warm weather for our airfare dollar.

+ Ass Backwards, the comedy that shot in/around Albany in 2010, premiered at Sundance -- so we pulled together a handful of early reviews.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: needles and missed connections, nefarious intent, a handsome rooster, and letters and numbers.

+ And why stop at Buffalo wing cupcakes.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
