A quick recap of the week

week review 2013-08-10

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We got a look at the new Northshire Bookstore in Saratoga, and talked with the owner about the future of bookstores.

+ A collection of the entries from the APL's Summer in the City Poetweets -- some of them are beautiful.

+ Jeff has taken over writing Eat This -- his first pick: oxtail at the Dutch Pot in Albany.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: a first trip to the Track, apathy and hot dogs, CBS and TWC, Megabus, an ADK weekend, peaks, Vermont, Canajoharie, a farewell, shooting lessons, volunteering, the Washington County Antiques Fair, flora in the clouds, 100 acres, Capital Region food culture, fresh tomatoes, sashimi, architecture, a dog detective, pie crust, and two year olds.

+ After a bit of drama and much conversation, the Wandering Dago food truck decided to keep its name.

+ The AOA Bad Boys, Broads, and Bootleggers Tour was this week -- here are a bunch of photos. (We had a lot of fun!)

+ Casey shared some tips for making camping a little more enjoyable.

+ The proposed Marina Abramović Institute in Hudson got a boost from Lady Gaga.

+ And we didn't have the best Tuesday. But we very much appreciate all the support and offers of assistance. Thank you.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop
