A quick recap of the week

week review 2015-04-17

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We announced the finalists for this year's AOA Startup Grant. The final presentations are this coming Monday -- and, for the first time, they're open to the public.

+ We gave away tickets to A Taste of Albany by asking: What's something local that you're looking forward to eating this summer?

+ Rebecca asked about where to donate jewelry.

+ Deanna went to Ted's Fish Fry for... fish tacos?

+ The campaign to get Uber in the Capital Region got more attention.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: personal tech in the country, the beauty and the stubbornness of life, a camouflaged butterfly, a bat rack, buffet lunch, the place that had been that place, Memphis King, Turkish food, beer bars, bread baskets, building blocks, bowling lanes, and adventures abroad.

+ Some local park needs these tulip chairs.

+ And with the "Fight for 15" rallies this week, a few different ways to look at the minimum wage.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
