A quick recap of the week

week review 2009-03-14

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We made s'mores -- at our table -- in Saratoga.

+ The Hello Kitty Vespa is badass. Got that?

+ Jess collected a bunch of info about local CSAs (farm shares).

+ Underground fires in downtown Albany shot manhole covers into the air.

+ Jess checked out the corned beef from Old World Provisions in Albany.

+ We heard about Dan Nester's WANG.

+ The spitzering of Eliot Spitzer happened one year ago this week. We put together a scorecard of who's up and who's down since then.

+ Amy took one for the team and tried out the Almond Joy French toast at a diner in Guilderland.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: Daylight Savings Time, grooming, skirts, dirty martinis, mimosas, pork and stimulus money.

+ If you need to get some things done around the house, Amy found some saints who might be able to help.

+ Some of the items from Craigslist this week: Easter outfits for dogs, meatheads, math professors, beautiful guys with coupons, and a guard llama.

+ There are a bunch of good sales in stores in Saratoga right now.

+ Troy is the new Brooklyn?

+ We did another quick scan of where things are at in the Tedisco-Murphy race.

+ Dan is looking for a place to get a computer fixed -- and people had a lot of suggestions.

+ And AOA had a birthday party.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or sent along an idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
