About Blue Pants, Albany's traveling gnome

"I dreamed of Blue Pants last night. I'm not even kidding."

... said Summer

"Blue Pants gets more action than me. Sad."

About the new Tulip Queen

"The Tulip Queen spent about 15min doing arts and crafts with my 3-year-old daughter at the Tulip Fest kids' booth. She was such a kind, friendly, witty person -- She certainly smashes the "beauty-queen" stereotype."

About SNL's Eliot Spitzer-David Paterson skit

"Jersey jokes? Still? I mean, if that's not scraping the bottom of the barrel, I don't know what is..."

... said Jay

"Seriously? The Spitzer impression is... so so, but the Patterson bit is as spot on as an impression should be. Remember this is a spoof, and the impressions are going to be caricatures."

... said Erik

"It's pretty clear that the folks at SNL don't care what I think. Why else would they continue rehashing this same unfunny skit? Also, NBC rejected my pitch for a new show called "Porch Sitting". The idea would be a camera set up on my front porch, facing the road. And each week you could watch cars go by. And for the Christmas episode, I'd put a wreath on my front steps. I don't know why NBC turned this down. It'd be 100% more exciting than SNL."

About the Tulip Fest aftermath

"As if I didn't have enough reasons to strongly disklike the people Tulipfest brings to my neighborhood. That's disgusting."

... said Katherine

"Landfill expansion dilemma solved?"

... said Pantaloons

"My mother and I watched a group of jerky little hipster-wannabes actually kick over an entire garbage can and walk away, spreading trash everywhere. Seriously?!"

... said jess

"I went late on Sunday and it really looked good. I didn't see any piles of trash and when I went to throw out my napkins (Fried Dough requires a lot of napkins if you go for the powdered sugar) I double checked that the bin I was throwing them in was a trash can because it was so empty. This picture's scary but it isn't a complete picture of the festival."

About Irish Toast and other high calorie breakfasts

"Rotten teeth or cankles...I can't decide which is worse. Perhaps I'll have to sample both the french toast and the rocky mountain high. I'll get back to you on this matter."

... said kerosena

About Matt Baumgartner's comments on the Schenectady Bombers' opening

"Matt should be commended for doing what so few people our age are willing to do in a private setting, let alone a public one. Not only did he take responsibility for the failure of the opening, he went further to explain why and how it was his responsibility."

... said Kevin Marshall

"Kids these days don't have any respect for their elders. When I threw that free burrito at Mr. Baumgartner, he wasn't supposed to keep it. I want it back. I'd shake my stick at him if my ungrateful dog hadn't stolen it from me."

About Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Troy

"I am a die hard Capital Q fan. I think it is some of the best food in the Albany area.

That said BBQ on the river would be totally sweet. I'm looking forward to when the lawyers have done their thing and Dinosaur moves into Fresno's.

As they say in High School Musical, "I [heart] Troy"."

About mayoral grooving

"how can you bash Albany's #1 fan, he's constantly mixing it up with the population....and loves to enjoy himself, I'm sure lots of cities would like a mayor as rad and dedicated as ours. remember, Jerry loves Albany just as much as us, only he's 30 years older and the mayor"

About Legs Diamond and the Kenmore Hotel

"Too bad my great uncle Mike isn't still around. The man ran booze for Legs Diamond. Also, was shot by a Pinkerton. In the back. During one of the strikes in Albany.

My family comes from such prestige!"
