A quick recap of the week

week review

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Jess with talked with Patrick Boegel, who's been growing his hops in Delmar.

+ New Yorkers said they wanted to throw out the state Senate and start over.

+ The Patricks put together a great photo/interview piece about a local dog walking company.

+ Watch out for the gumball bandit!

+ The Troy Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is a done deal.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: unexpected agriculture, answered phone calls, mulberries, Parker Posey, Japanese TV, killer plants, first dates, bad behavior, Austin, artificial flavors, beach escapes and smiles.

+ Alison asked where she could find crumpets.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: jello shots, iridescent pseudo sharks, Corona-drinking MILFs, the smile worth a thousand hellos and dug-on-demand horseradish.

+ Kevin imagined what Jerry Jennings' Twitter feed might look like.

+ CDTA is consolidating bus stops.

+ There are bunch of good concerts lined up during the next two months -- here are five to check out (and a bunch of other good suggestions).

+ Jess checked out the India Bazaar market in Colonie.

+ And here are a bunch of photos from the AOA cookout in Washington Park.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
