A quick recap of the week

week review 2012-07-07

Here are a few highlights from the past holiday week on AOA:

+ Soapbox: Elisabeth talked some trash about recycling.

+ We talked with illustrator Elizabeth Zunon about the clog she designed for Sculpture in the Streets.

+ Valerie asked about finding a good general contractor.

+ Casey visited the Tailored Tea in Latham.

+ Daniel says the Peach Jack from Harvest Spirits is "the essence of summertime in a glass".

+ Elisabeth asked about where to go paddleboarding.

+ Alex and Marissa shared pics from the Central Steak beer dinner they won from AOA.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: dogs in hot cars, secrets in Washington County, the Crimson Sparrow, fresh mozzarella, Indian food, Stewart's frozen pizza, substituting chains, late-night food, grilling, a hall of fame, the Troy Savings Bank building, orchids, fireflies, a party for runners up, and brain freeze.

+ The Albany Aqua Ducks have been sold -- and they're flying away south.

+ All the Wegmans in Albany rumors prompted us to look at the recipe for a juicy rumor.

+ And Daniel share what it was like to sail on the Hudson River sloop Clearwater for dinner.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared a photo or idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
