A quick recap of the week

week review 2014-02-22

Here are a few highlights from the past short week on AOA:

+ Martin asked about finding an electronics repair shop.

+ Jeff went to The Hollow in search of a satisfying burger -- with no meat.

+ Phantogram's new album is out, and they were back on TV.

+ A new poll indicated New Yorkers are starting to support legalizing both medical and recreational marijuana.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: relationships with Winter, snowmen of the lamented and excited varieties, snowshoeing, Alton Brown, Bikenomics, curling, marathoning, mac-n-cheese bowling, brewing, brunch, bibimbap, choice at the supermarket, cottonwood, and robins.

+ Since we've had a plenty of opportunity to think about it this winter: A vocabulary of snow.

+ Among the items found on Craigslist this week: three very cute goat bucklings.

+ We talked with chef Sarah Fish about breakfast, the influence of a garden, turning your life around, and her planned appearance on the Food Network.

+ Amelia asked about finding the right Capital Region small town, village, or suburb for settling down. They were many high-quality answers.

+ And there was a rainbow, in February. Spring really must be around the corner.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
