It's Halloween. And it's the weekend, so there's plenty of stuff to do.

After the jump we've assembled a bag of fun-sized treats for your weekend. The good stuff. No Necco Wafers. Unless of course you like Necco Wafers. Does anyone like Necco Wafers? Someone must or they wouldn't still be making Necco Wafers...

Troy Night Out
Friday: Trick-or-treating, costume contests, music, art, and other surprises at Halloween Troy Night Out. Participating merchants are handing out candy to trick-or-treaters, there's a haunted circus at The Arts Center of the Capital Region, and there's a TNO costume contest. And its the grand opening of The Shop.

Halloween

Many, many places will be hosting Halloween-themed stuff Friday night. Here are just a few:

+ If you're looking for a big costume party, there is the annual party at the Washington Park Lake House.Friday 9pm - presale tickets are sold out, a "limited" number of $40 tickets will be available at the door

+The Washington Avenue Armory is hosting a Masquerave Halloween event. Friday 8pm - $20-$80

+ Crossgates stores will have candy for trick-or-treaters and the mall is hosting a costume contest.

+ In Saratoga Springs the The Riggi Mansion on North Broadway is hosting a family-friendly Halloween party. Trick-or-treaters should look out for random candy bars wrapped in $100 bills.

+ Cohoes is having its annual Halloween parade and party at 6pm on Remsen Street.

+ Albany Law School is hosting a trick-or-treat event. Student organizations will have booths with candy for trick-or-treaters and the law school will provide refreshments. Friday 5-8 pm - free

Last chance to freak yourself out this Halloween season:

Down the Hall: An Immersive Psychological Thriller
Modeled on Punchdrunk NYC's production Sleep No More, the Theater Institute at Sage presents Down the Hall. It's an original, immersive theater piece that takes audiences on a tour of the haunted history of Russell Sage College. Thursdays - Saturdays at 8pm and 9pm through November 1 - $10 / $8 to the Sage community.

Saratoga Scare Fair
The Saratoga Scare Fair is an 8,000 foot haunted attraction at the Saratoga County Fairgrounds. Friday and Saturday nights throughout October - 6:30pm to 10pm - $8

Schuyler Farms Haunted Corn Maze
Schuyler Farms in Schuylerville offers trips through the "Field of Screams," a haunted corn maze, every Friday and Saturday night in October. $14

Haunted Hayride
The Double M in Ballston Spa has haunted hayrides every weekend in October. various times and prices

Field of Horrors
The Capital Combat Zone paintball facility in Brunswick has turned itself into the new "Field of Horrors," with haunted hayrides and haunted houses. (Two of the haunted houses are "not recommended for children.") Friday-Saturday 6-11 pm - $22 with online discount

Candlelight Tour of the Schenectady Stockade
Friday: The Schenectady County Historical Society is offering candlelight walking tours of the historic Stockade neighborhood. Friday at 7 pm and 7:30 pm - $10

Ghosts in the Yaddo Gardens
Yaddo is offering ghost tours in its gardens on Fridays and Sundays through October. 5 pm - $10

Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque

The Bow Tie in Saratoga Springs kicks off a November tribute to Lauren Bacall this weekend with screenings of Key Largo. Saturday and Sunday morning at 11 am

Rocky Horror
On Friday and Saturday night at 11:30 pm the Bow Tie is holding Halloween weekend screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Penn Station
Sunday: The New York State Museum is screening American Experience: The Rise and Fall of Penn Station:

New York's Pennsylvania Station opened to the public in 1910. The station was a massive civil engineering project, covering nearly eight acres and requiring the construction of 16 miles of underground tunnels. No one could imagine that this architectural marvel built for the ages would be torn down a few decades later. Trace the brief life of New York's Penn Station, whose destruction spurred landmarks preservation.

Thomas Cole
Sunday: Art historian Paul Schweizer will be at The Albany Institute of History and Art for a talk on Thomas Cole, founder of the Hudson River School of painting. And he'll be signing copies of his new book, Thomas Cole's Voyage of Life. Sunday 2 pm - free with admission

Check out a park
This is a great time of year to check out a local park or hiking spot, like Pittsfield State Forest, the Saratoga National Historic Park, Vroman's Nose, Schodack Island, Cherry Plain, Moreau, Grafton Lakes or Peebles Island.

Farmers' Markets
Farmers' markets are moving indoors this weekend:
+ The Troy Waterfront Farmers Market will be in the Troy Atrium in downtown Troy Saturday from 9 am-2 pm.
+ The Saratoga Farmers' Market will be at the Lincoln Baths on Saturday from 9 am-1 pm.
+ The Delmar Farmers Market will be inside at Bethlehem Central Middle School on Saturday.
+ The Schenectady Greenmarket will be inside Proctors on Sunday.
+ The Spa City Farmers' Market will be in Lincoln Baths Sunday.
