A quick recap of the week
Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:
+ The State Museum exhibit space is getting a big makeover.
+ We talked with the person behind the Mercer Street Project, an effort to document a family history one object at a time.
+ A peek at the possible future of how we'll all get around the Capital Region.
+ Deanna tried the Ethiopian platter at Umana.
+ We gave away tickets to the Shmaltz Brewing anniversary party by asking: What's on your local "must do" list of summer things this year?
+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: livestock, advocating for yourself, Frontier Town, waterfalls, dogs on restaurant patios, working out, slow living, garnishes, annoyances, ramen, oysters, soccer, and clairvoyant medicine.
+ M asked about finding a contractor for a bathtub replacement project. (We could still use a few suggestions for this one.)
+ We talked with the founder of Tech Valley Game Space -- its goal is to get everyone in the Capital Region to make at least one video game.
+ Matin asked about finding an auto mechanic who specializes in exhaust system repairs. (We could use another few suggestions on this one.)
+ And an update on where things are with the Albany skate park plan.
Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!
Also: tickets are on sale for this year's AOA summer tour -- we're headed back to Hudson! Last year's tour sold out, and we've already sold a bunch of tickets for this year. So don't wait!
