A quick recap of the week

week review 2015-12-19

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We read through Alexander Hamilton's letters to Elizabeth Schuyler of Albany (one is not safe for the drawing room).

+ Scenes from the Capital Region as "ugly" holiday sweaters. Because why not.

+ We got a tour of Minnie Bolster's personal Saratoga Springs history museum.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: new traditions, the Christmas tree index, kitchen salaries, foggy photos, an unusually-low lake, Albany Rural, warm December, a rescue dog, craft brewing, internal dialog, Texas Roadhouse, donuts, the Wine Bar, Chinese food, lobster, and lessons from dad.

+ Gawking at how the Park South redevelopment project is coming along.

+ A new film was on many screens in the Capital Region Friday.

+ David asked about restaurants with in-kitchen tables.

+ It always comes back to parking.

+ Deanna shared some ideas for last-minute local food items to bring to parties.

And more holiday gift lists!

+ Julie Madsen from Julie Journeys

+ Comedian Jaye McBride

+ Matt Malette, AKA Albany Archives

+ Boogie's Jacques Bastien

+ Rebecca Haizmann from the Downtown Albany BID.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
