A quick recap of the week

week review 2016-03-19

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Good luck to everyone who entered this year's AOA NCAA tournament pool.

+ Speaking of the tournament -- the UAlbany women's basketball team pulled an upset, their first ever NCAA tournament win.

+ Deanna tried the street corn at Ama Cocina.

+ Sandy looked at the increased competition Lark Street is facing from other urban areas around the Capital Region --

+ More Lark Street! More Sandy! This time on ideas for a prosperous longterm future for the corridor.

+ The Downtube's storefront is open again after last year's fire.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: the unearned reward, the road diet, Albany sidewalks, a UPS odyssey, buying a car, Mount Marshall, details, the Eagle Theater, Hurstville, a veggie burger, chain restaurant cognitive dissonance, "Shamrock Thursday," a birthday dinner, a birthday cake, Dali Mamma, chicken riggies, and brokenness.

+ We checked out the new Canstruction exhibit at the State Museum.

+ There's a new set of renderings for the Schenectady casino.

+ Julie shared a list of waterfalls to check out this spring.

+ And thank you to everyone who RSVP'ed to this year's AOA's birthday party! We're looking forward to seeing you! (And if for some reason you now can't attend, please let us know -- there are a bunch of people on the wait list. We'll miss you.)

Here's the whole week in one place.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
