A quick recap of the week

week review 2017-01-29

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We heard from a bunch of people why they attended the "Inaugurate Resistance" march in Albany.

+ Deanna pointed out the tom kha soup at Celadon Thai.

+ A new report indicated the Albany metro area fares well compared to other large metros for pedestrian deaths -- but there's room to improve.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: marching in DC, marching in NYC, marching in Albany, deciding to do better, skipping the pills, turning to stone, the Paradise Show Boat, an unfortunate end, Iron Roost, drinking, and thin ice.

+ A warning about coyotes in Albany.

+ We talked with Albany artist Elizabeth Zunon about the new children's book that includes her illustrations and how she stokes her creativity.

+ I. asked about local charities and orgs she can contribute to that are making a difference right now. There were a lot of good suggestions.

+ We started an easy-scan page for tracking how Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand are voting on Trump administration cabinet picks.

+ And we got a look at the photos in the new Albany Institute exhibit of 170 years of photography.

Here's the whole week in one place.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
