A quick recap of the last week

Borders, Passing Fashion, cupcakes, drink this

Borders on Wolf, Passing Fashion on Delaware, cupcakes on Broadway, martini on Lark

Here are some highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ A UAlbany student competed in the Miss Universe pageant.

+ After word got around the Quintessence is coming back, people reminisced about the good times they've had there.

+ We got the scoop on how much variation there is in the cost of parking tickets among the cities in the Capital Region. And we found why only Albany tacks on a "NYS Surcharge."

+ Barold dropped possibly the first-ever AOA in-joke in the thread for the latest Passing Fashion.

+ We reported that the Borders on Wolf Road is closing September 6.

+ Jessica pointed us in the direction of where we can find gluten-free cupcakes.

+ We got a little background on the company Joe Bruno might be joining.

+ Wine ice cream -- now sanctioned by NY law -- might sound better than it tastes.

+ We talked with Rachel about why she quit her corporate job in order to make "big and real" cupcakes in Saratoga.

+ Drink this: the Midsummer Night's Martini at DeJohn's.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
