A quick recap of the week

week review 2013-05-11

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Following the crowded food truck festival in Troy, Daniel shared some game plans for getting the most out of food festivals.

+ We gave away tickets to Champagne on the Park by asking: What would you name a tulip?

+ Andrew asked about good brunch spots in/near Troy.

+ Casey took a short tour of juice bars in the Capital Region -- you know, if you want to drink your kale.

+ We shared a few thoughts on the city of Albany's new website.

+ An interesting discussion popped up about one of Albany's neighborhoods.

+ Casey talked with the founders of the soon-to-open Spa City Farmer's Market.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: effort, frustrations, bike paths, Halfmoonssians, pistachio ice cream and life, St. Patrick's, a taxi, progress, a sabbatical, Fish & Game, Javier's, a sombrero, Indian food, eating in Boston, baby farm animals, a spring, pies on the windowsill, and 20 first graders.

+ Lucas asked about finding a good place to enjoy a beverage on a covered patio.

+ Laura asked about getting a garden plot tilled.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: fighting patent leather clogs as dress shoes, hoop-ga, a railroad jack, chicks.

+ Robert shared a great aerial photo of the tulips in Washington Park.

+ The Alive at Five lineup for this summer is out.

+ And Casey took an unusual look at tulips.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
