A quick recap of the week

week review 2014-01-18

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We gave away a pizza-making class at DeFazio's by asking people to tell us a secret. There were some good ones.

+ As the process for the new casinos ramps up, a look at how the Capital Region voted on the state constitution casino amendment -- town by town. (And there are some cool charts.)

+ Speaking of the casino process, we threw out some odds for potential casino sites around the Capital Region.

+ We asked people how they shake off the winter gloom.

+ Concert announcements: DMB, Bruno Mars, Mountain Jam, Deer Tick, and Bastille.

+ We dropped in at Nine Pin Cider Works in Albany as the startup readies its first product.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: How are you, outrage, ice jam, ALB, Syracuse, hiking terms, an awesome ride, goop, the Twin Bridges, dumplings, the ones that got away, From The Garden, Flavors of India, karidopita, the saddest, and farewell.

+ Janae asked about where to get a smoothie in Albany.

+ Among the items found on Craigslist this week: an old Catskill Game Farm sign, upstate erotica.

+ And that's cash money -- or is it?

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
