A quick recap of the week

week review 2014-05-02

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We gave away tickets to the Capital District Community Gardens' Spring Brunch by asking: What local fruit or veggie are you looking forward to this season?

+ Terence asked about finding a contractor to install gutters.

+ Katie asked about finding good flea markets in the region.

+ Deanna dug her spoon through the layers of Civitello's spumoni.

+ We went on a long trip looking at how airfare from ALB stacks up against other cities.

+ Lauren surveyed the shopping scene in downtown Troy.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: the camera that saw many things, the spiritual life, the Albany Tweed Ride, local retail, outside, celebrity judging, a bay window, lunch, pho, a burger, a sixer of mini dogs, dining in Woodstock, 19th century Troy merchants, and an imaginary paintball team.

+ BMF asked about wild edibles foraging classes or tours.

+ Sarah asked about catering for a big outdoor party.

+ A coffee spot on Lark is getting a new life.

+ If you could move from New York, would you?

+ Lauren talked with the owner of a shop that sells sweaters for chickens (and other pet stuff).

+ And Charles Steinmetz, at rest.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
