A quick recap of the week

week review 2014-11-08

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We gave away tickets to see Ray LaMontagne at The Palace by asking: What do you vote for?

+ Campaign Yard Sign Design Election 2014, Part II

+ Chris asked about finding a good tattoo artist -- and there were a lot of suggestions.

+ Jessica about finding a contractor for mold remediation.

+ We took a trip to a local orchard to try some unusual apples. (It's time to move beyond the Macs and Galas.)

+ Quick-scan results from Election Day.

+ County-by-county results for the gubernatorial election in 5 -- no, wait, 6! -- maps.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: cider donuts and tastemakers, BUILT, Great Flats, bog walking, bouncing around, snowblower questing, Texas de Brazil, City Line, The Shop, Beverly's Eatery, Firehouse Subs, a bridal shower, styrofoam cups, lost cemeteries, and what we're capable of.

+ Justin asked about where to buy a goose for a holiday dinner.

+ Could a more regional approach address dissatisfaction with tax service in the Albany area?

+ The War on Crows is resuming.

+ Albany is planning a skatepark for Washington Park. People are stoked.

+ And TC asked about where to get tires switched for winter.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
