A quick recap of the week

week review 2015-02-14

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Liz asked about finding a good tax preparer.

+ The Best Dozen so many have been anticipating: Daniel and Dunkin' Donuts.

+ There are 16 emotional stages of winter.

+ Gabby asked about ideas for Valentine's Day that don't involve a lot of money, so we pulled together a list.

+ Speaking of Valentine's Day, here are some of the most popular answers to a recent question about everyday expressions of love.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: Columbia County, towering pines, snowshoeing, gratitude, the full width, snow day frustration, tavern pizza, regrettable behavior, Valentine's Day, lamb, burgers, delivery pizza, nature photos, toile, and 10 years.

+ We looked at some numbers about driving and driver's licenses -- both appear to have been on the decline over the last few years.

+ The frozen Hudson River is frozen.

+ And a look at the history of the Mohawk Colored Giants, who played in front of big crowds in Schenectady and took on some of the greatest players in baseball history.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
