A quick recap of the week

week review

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Jess told us about some local blacksmiths.

+ Paul, Sebastien and Upstater sent along some great photos of BalloonFest, Oktoberfest and the Dutch ships.

+ The Other Guys shoot sent a car flying into the side of a bus (on purpose, of course).

+ The Latham Chipotle is scheduled to open in early November.

+ Jennifer sent along pics of what might be the worst parking job of the year.

+ Upstater told us about being dimed by Verizon.

+ Kaitlin went shopping for fall clothing essentials -- for women and men.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: visitors from New Jersey, stalling, true love, Chez Sophie, stinky cheese, cinnamon bacon, apple rockets, wine, supermarkets, Brian Taffe, eggcellence, and bears wearing pants.

+ You might be surprised by which baseball caps are popular in Troy.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: a purported Picasso, a sweet misfit girl, seductive wing sauce licking and something out of a John Irving novel.

+ Emily asked about bars/restaurants to watch hockey -- and we extended to the question to all kinds of sports.

+ A lot of people mentioned that local McDonald's commercial.

+ And Dawn went mining for diamonds.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or sent along a photo or idea this week!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
