A quick recap of the week

week review 2010-10-02

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Sebastien sent along a whole bunch of photos from LarkFest.

+ David Paterson -- the actual David Paterson -- appeared on SNL.

+ Rick Lazio dropped out of the race for governor. And Carl Paladino flipped out.

+ The most curried intersection in Capital Region is probably in Albany.

+ Paul passed along some nice photos from the Adirondack Balloon Festival.

+ Fred spotted Mexican Coke at Price Chopper.

+ The old Hudson River Telephone Company building in Albany is being turned into a coffee house -- with arcade games.

+ Local chef Ric Orlando competed for the Chopped champions title on the Food Network.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: festivals, Lark Street, a rail trail, the Tour de Donut, steak, beer, wings, gin, the Hungry Woman, apartments, apple picking, a sukkah, painting, dreamy yarn, funky tile, and serenity.

+ Eric asked about local book printing.

+ High-speed rail looks like it'll be slow coming.

+ Two UAlbany students had an exotic snake invite himself to stay in their spare room.

+ A few items found on Craigslist this week: Gnar Gnar, two women in search of a little recreational fun, 36 pocket calculators, and an adult shop closeout.

+ Sue asked about finding a good divorce attorney.

+ Friday was a soup day.

+ Carl shared the story how Stanford University could have ended up in the Capital Region.

+ And the full Tournament of Pizza brackets are out! Results start next week.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
