If you're looking to get outdoors this weekend, plan on Saturday. Sunday looks warmer, but wet.

No worries, though. There's plenty to do this weekend, both indoors and outdoors. After the jump, a few things that looked promising to us. Got a different plan? We'd love to hear about it.

Whatever you do, have a great weekend. And watch out for zombies.

Braaaiiiins
It's Zombie Prom weekend, so dress up, grab your best ghoul and go out and party like a zombie. Bettie's Cakes in Saratoga has a zombie prom tonight from 7-10. They'll crown a zombie king and queen and have a group Thriller dance. Free.

Then on Saturday take the Zombie Walk from the Washington Avenue Armory to The Linda for the Zombie Prom ($10)

Go ghost hunting
The Albany Aqua Ducks are running a Capital Region Ghost Hunting Trolley Tour. Here are a few of the stories you'll hear.

Other ways to freak yourself out
+Schauber Stables in Ballston Lake is doing Haunted Hayrides. 7-10PM $8

+Liberty Ridge Farm in Schatigcoke has a "Spooky Corn Maze."

+You can take a ghost tour of the Schenectady Stockade tonight at 7. $10 gets you the tour and a beverage at Clinton's Ditch Restaurant. Reservations at 346-8376.

Haunted Museum of Unnatural History
Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 - 4:30 the NYS Museum becomes the Haunted Museum of Unnatural history, complete with zombies, mummies and a host of B-Movie monsters.
$8 (not meant for kids under 10).

Monster Mash
The under 10 set can take part in the New York State Museum's Monster Mash and Bash Halloween party on Saturday from Noon to 4. Crafts, face painting and a costume parade.

Wander a corn maze
Kettle Farms in Hoosick Falls says it has the largest corn maze on the East Coast (it's 22 acres).

Get all Medieval
The Cathedral of All Saints is hosting a Medieval Faire on Saturday from 10-5. Medieval costumes, crafts, food, beverages and entertainment. $10 adults, $8 seniors and students, $5 children ages 4-12. Under 4 -Free.

Festival of Nations
On Sunday from 11-5 the Empire Plaza will celebrate more than 40 cultures with music, dance, costumes and food at the 39th Annual Festival of Nations. 11-5.

Film Columbia
The Film Columbia festival got underway on Wednesday and runs through the weekend in Chatham. Here's the full schedule of films.

Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein is at Proctors all weekend.

Favorite things
Tonight and tomorrow, the Schenectady Museum is holding a special exhibit filled with favorite artifacts of staff, trustees, and volunteers taken from their permanent collection. From televisions radios, and appliances to inventions, and laboratory equipment.

Start holiday shopping
The Northeast Fine Craft Festival is at Proctors this Saturday and Sunday.

Music
+ Railbird, Cuddle Magic and Matthew Carefully are at Proctors Saturday night.
+ Jill Hughes sings jazz on Saturday night at 9 Maple in Saratoga.

Comedy
+ Comedian Louis CK is at the Palace Theater Saturday night. You may have seen him on Parks and Recreation or last year on Conan. Tickets start at $24.50.

+The Mop & Bucket Company's Halloween improv show gets going tonight at 8, underground at Proctors. Contribute to the show or just watch -- same price -- $14, $6 students and seniors.

Train & Toy Show
Hudson Valley Community College hosts the Greenberg Train & Toy show -- the largest traveling train and toy show in the Northeast on Saturday.

Hockey
The Albany Devils take on the Norfolk Admirals at the TU Center on Saturday night at 7.

Search for the perfect cider donut
There's still time to try Daniel B.'s Tour de Donut. Don't forget to pace yourself.

Go chasing waterfalls
All the rain we've had recently should mean pretty good flows for local waterfalls. Here are a few good ones to check out.

Look at leaves
It's that time. The foliage is ready for its closeup -- so go look at some leaves. Here are a few of our favorite autumn walks.

Spend time somewhere else
Spend 12 hours Ulster or Schoharie county. Or head over to Bennington. Or you could do a little fall shopping in Northampton or Woodstock. And if you're up near Glens Falls, swing through town.
