A quick recap of the week

week review 2010-11-13

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We asked people about your favorite cold weather comfort foods -- and got a whole lot of good answers.

+ A Clifton Park company released a puzzle app for the iPhone.

+ We got a preview of a winter.

+ Brian shared a good photo of the snowy Capitol with us.

+ Jeff asked about finding help to set up a small business.

+ We stepped forward to try the new Dunkin' Donuts pancake bites.

+ We heard about the effort to get Albany to allow backyard chickens. The topic prompted a great discussion.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: Mockingbird, a gym for your brain, subversive embroidery, giving thanks, turkey prices, fantastic duck, Lawrences, a miracle, the DMV, a pantsless Halloween, a mystery, and a snowman.

+ George Pataki apparently is thinking about running for president. Really.

+ We ate at the new Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Troy.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: a lack of concern about cleavage, squirrels, a vintage soda counter and the ongoing Pageant of Less Than Attractive Craigslist Couches.

+ Chuck Schumer wants drinks such as Four Loko banned in New York State.

+ Cait asked about finding a boozy brunch spot.

+ Emily created a cartoon based on a Twitter exchange about the Dinosaur.

+ And just a heads-up: AOA's segment on the CW15 News at Ten will now be on Wednesday nights.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
