A quick recap of the week

week review 2011-02-26

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ It was Forget the Resolution week!

+ Akum faced off with the Machine at Uncle Dan's.

+ Daniel B ate the deep-fried Buffalo burger at Swifty's.

+ Albany Jane had a fattacular time at Mr. Pio Pio with some chicharrones.

+ Liz took on a plate of Philly Steak at Morette's that was as big as her head.

+ Jerry cheated at Pancho's with some fajita nachos.

+ We counted calories at the Cheesecake Factory.

+ And we sent four kids straight into the teeth of the Vermonster.

+ We celebrated Presidents' Day with six bits of trivia about the six presidents from New York State.

+ Akum shared five reasons why Howe Caverns are worth a visit.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: winter frustration, rooting for Watson, the Saratoga Borders location, what Jesus would ask you to do with your coat, skijoring, flying pigs, chocolaty goodness, embarrassed toast, the Mohonk Mountain House, and watching the snow melt.

+ M asked about good drink specials.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: a quote from George Washington, a business opportunity for steady-handed entrepreneurs, Swatch watches, and banana stroking.

+ Silly Putty was invented in Schenectady. Probably.

+ Chatham Brewing has great beer -- you just have know to where to find it.

+ And is Liz watching the foxes -- or are they watching her?

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
