A quick recap of the week

week review 2012-10-20

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ In case you wondered, college continues to be expensive -- especially at three schools in the Capital Region.

+ Naomi asked about finding a good podiatrist.

+ We visited the Radix Center again to see how things are coming along -- lots of growth (of all sorts)!

+ Daniel says you should try the eggs in purgatory at More Perreca's.

+ Heidi asked about where to get furniture re-finished.

+ James considered the grave of Chester A. Arthur.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: the State Education building, charity frustration, a guide to Saratoga Springs, pork disappointment, Van's, Pizza King, Vermont beer, a vineyard, the Cheese Traveler, brunch, daddy magic, watching football, dinner for two, short reviews, old Scotia, Buy Buy Baby, people talking to themselves, and The Tinkle Shop.

+ There's a release date for The Place Beyond the Pines.

+ Daniel talked with the owners of The Confectionery, a soon-to-open wine/coffee bar in Troy. The interior is gorgeous.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: something not done recently, a freighted tent, barn doors, pygmy goats.

+ Ken asked about where to find modern furniture in the Capital Region.

+ We had fun at the farm-to-table dinner -- with the farmers -- at Creo'.

And the Round 2 of Tournament of Pizza 2012:

+ Results from the Saratoga bracket.
+ Results from the Schenectady bracket.
+ Results from the Troy bracket.
+ Results from the Albany bracket.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
