A quick recap of the week

week review 2010-03-27

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Jessica went on a road trip to North Adams.

+ A new club is looking to create a utopia for men in downtown Albany.

+ Kaitlin went shopping for him -- and her.

+ Phantogram and Sgt Dunbar both came away from SXSW with praise.

+ It was springtime for local home sales.

+ Kim D asked about local butchers.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: newts, wines in love, a stellar lunch, meat sandwiches, Proustian experiences, breakfast, sushi, a bakery, roofers, shoes, the Walkway Over the Hudson, CDTA, a vintage find, a Salvo dud, a font pileup and a stone face.

+ Carl told us about the namesake of Thacher Park.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: a buzzkill cat, the truth about soylent green, a warning for Long Island -- and a great find by the fuj.

+ The rivers rose, which meant a lot of water falling over Cohoes Falls.

+ The local unemployment rate didn't get any worse.

+ Troygle posted its application video for the Google community fiber project.

+ And Erik told us about his hunt for a tuxedo for his wedding.

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.
