A quick recap of the week

week review

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ There were some fun reports from the Warrior Dash at Windham, including some great photos from Sebastien and B.

+ We shared some local waterfall walks.

+ Price Chopper was part of a bizarre situation involving Twitter.

+ New World chef Ric Orlando was back on the Food Network, competing in the Chopped champions tournament.

+ Polling confusion! A poll cast some doubt on the seeming inevitability of an Andrew Cuomo win in the governor's race. But other polls reported that Carl Paladino was probably not that close.

+ Jeff suggested we poll people on which gubernatorial candidate they'd like to have a beer with. The results might surprise you...

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: a canal, Washington County, another tale of Smalbany, a library secret, potential Starbucks, competition at the farmers' market, moon cakes, roundabout pizza, the Illium, Lake George, jury duty, and an odd monument.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: Barry White in an office, a man in a baseball uniform answering questions, an awkward neighbor situation, and an Emack and Bolio's.

+ Al-Baraki is making a comeback. Prepare for the garlic paste.

+ And Glens Falls is looking better.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.

Albany tightened its rules for shoveling snowy sidewalks last winter -- so how'd that work out?
