A quick recap of the week

week review 2012-04-13

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ Leah shared what it was like to have The Place Beyond the Pines film at her house.

+ For sale: a time machine.

+ The music lineup for this year's Tulip Fest is out.

+ Casey heard the story of the Beer Diviner -- and tried the beer.

+ We gave away tickets to see Dirty Projectors at Skidmore + dinner at Druthers by asking: If your projector wasn't dirty, what movie would you show? And where?

+ Following up on an earlier look at the history of trolleys in the Capital Region, Andrea shared some photos of an old trolley token she found.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: butchering, the buttered hard roll, Troy getting better, postal addresses, Omi, the Battenkill, a 1977 fire, Columbia County, best of, vegetable guys, Italian food, Healthy Living, orange, the Pine Bush, a subscription deal, and the same story.

+ We asked people about their thoughts on the Albany parking permit system so far.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: ennui and dudes, double entendre, a set of settees, and goat kids.

+ We looked into local laws for food trucks -- they're... complicated.

+ From the red area rug at the Places Beyond the Pines Schenectady premiere.

+ And congrats to Dylan for winning this year's AOA NCAA Tournament Pool.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
