A quick recap of the week

week review 2010-12-18

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We posted a bunch of photos from the always-fun Santa Speedo Sprint.

+ Camilo asked about good places to volunteer.

+ We provided a flow chart to assist in this very important situation: It's winter. Your dog has pooped. What now?

+ Carrie asked about finding a good computer repair place.

+ There was a guilty verdict in the Richard Bailey murder trial.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: a swank party, blame for consumers, the city never existed, Hudson, Connecticut, a breakfast burrito, escolar, home cooking, challah, wedding invitations, toilet paper, cold weather running, the tides, liverwort and Niagara Falls.

+ Lou shared an update from the meeting about the state of the new Troy food co-op.

+ That wasn't Troy.

+ A few of the items found on Craigslist this week: pulsating at Stewart's, a room-brigthening smile, square dance outfits, and a winking Santa.

+ Sebastien asked for advice on fighting mice -- and people had a lot of suggestions.

+ The Capital Region job market: not getting better.

+ And the last week of local holiday gift suggestions!

If you'd just like the whole week unfiltered, check our listing of the last seven days of AOA.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
