A quick recap of the week

week review 2015-01-16

Here are a few highlights from the past week on AOA:

+ We gave away a huge package of stuff to keep the new year headed in the right direction by asking: What would you like to see change in the Capital Region this year? (There were a lot of interesting answers.)

+ Daniel's survey of donut shops made a stop at Cider Belly in Albany.

+ Sandy asked about where to get a laptop tuned up.

+ A big, big list of concerts coming up over the next few months that might interest you.

+ We asked about how you up your glove game.

+ The lineup for Mountain Jam is out.

+ What was up in the Neighborhood this week: it'll be OK, Capital District police, parking in downtown Troy, yoga, roller skating flashbacks, the State Library, a cozy destination, Wine & Dine for the Arts, restaurant bargains, a soup flight, epic snow, film, and the confidential destination.

+ We gave away tickets to a Caribbean tapas party at New World Catering in Albany by asking: If you could hop a plane tomorrow for any warm destination in the world, where it would it be?

+ That time -- not even that long ago -- that Albany annexed a chunk of Bethlehem.

+ Alison asked about finding a good jeweler/jewelry artist.

+ If ever you wondered what it takes to turn one of those old industrial buildings into (something else), here's an answer.

+ And some local events for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday.

Here's the whole week all lined up.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment or shared an idea or photo this week!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
